Some stuff that itches me about MediaWiki and needs to be scratched some time
- RC notification needs a nice, pluggable interface with different formatters and ways to send stuff. Like, JSON-over-JMPP, etc
- File handling on upload. Checking of file format and extration of metadata should be done by a handler registered for the file extension. The current general mime detection stuff sucks.
